TruGreen wanted to elevate its brand positioning by showcasing the quality of its lawncare services in a way that resonates with homeowners. The goal was to highlight the ease, affordability, and beauty of TruGreen lawns while creating an emotional connection with audiences.
The idea stemmed from the insight that a well-maintained lawn is universally admired, but professional golfers—who play on some of the world’s most breathtaking courses—truly understand what sets a great lawn apart. This led to the concept of blending the worlds of professional golf and everyday homeownership.
VML partnered with TruGreen to create a playful, relatable campaign that positions TruGreen lawns as "golf-course quality." Featuring PGA TOUR players Jason Day, Ben Griffin, and Patton Kizzire, the campaign uses humor and storytelling to show how these pros are irresistibly drawn to TruGreen-treated lawns. Through engaging spots like “TeaTime” and “Croquet,” the campaign highlights the transformative power of TruGreen’s expertise and the unexpected joy of having a lawn so perfect it attracts professionals.
