PKU is a rare hereditary metabolic disease with no cure at the moment. Any protein food such as meat, fish, or eggs, must be eaten in tiny quantities and with great precision. A milligram up or down of food protein intake can cause irreversible brain damage and even death.
Raising awareness of the rare hereditary metabolic disease, PKU.
Raise funds to help with the financial aid of the biosensor device to measure the level of protein in the blood for better patient engagement to improve their day-to-day and ensure that PKU patients eat safely and non-hazardously.
The 3 prints use a hyper-realistic illustration technique in which we see people "trapped" in different foods that a person with PKU can barely eat, sending a message of urgency to society about the proximity of the problem and the need for funds for the biosenser device.
