Throughout our 10 years of delivering on the beach at Cannes we faced many challenges: keeping the brand relevant, keeping the experience relevant, embracing the party atmosphere and decadence, distancing the brand from the party atmosphere, focussing on business benefits, the list goes on.
To navigate these challenges we have always focused on audience experience, effectiveness and impact for the Google brand. Over the years we made the beach experience relevant for Google’s audiences: the decision makers, the agency groups, the award winners and the young creatives. We created beaches that celebrated what Google does best and offered a sharp focus on what matters next for them and their client’s businesses.
Demos and experiences we created include: a robotic drawing arm, an arcade style grabber, a voice powered cocktail maker, an immersive theatre-like YouTube experience, musicians, speakers and queues of people making custom Google Doodle Caps... amongst others!
Additionally, we hosted dedicated group nights for the decision makers, private dinner for the Executives, morning workshops for the next generation of creatives. Relevant and honest talks and inspiring performances, all delivered in a laid back beach environment.
