Protecting the Future of Sol tells the story of Sol Segura, a kind-hearted girl who embarks on a time-travel adventure to save her country from a villain we all recognize, La Informalidark. Across eight episodes, Sol and her friends teach safe construction practices to inspire a new generation. With this strategy, Cemento Sol is committed to building a safer future for all families, targeting a younger audience rather than the traditional construction foreman.

Peru is a highly seismic country where over 70% of homes are poorly built due to informal self-construction and a lack of knowledge on safe building practices, putting thousands of families at risk. How could Cemento Sol, the most-used brand among self-builders, protect all families if so much was already built? The answer was to focus on building what we still have control over: the future.
Cemento Sol’s mission is to protect families by raising awareness of safe construction practices among construction workers and heads of families. However, to reach as many families as possible, we identified a new target audience—the children of these households—who are always listened to by their families and have the potential to create a better future.
We decided to speak to the only ones who can truly build tomorrow: children. This led to the creation of Protecting the Future of Sol, the first animated series about safe construction for TikTok, the platform they engage with daily.
Protecting the Future of Sol is an animated series based on Cemento Sol’s eight safe construction steps. Through time travel, temporal loops, and futuristic cities, we teach children and teens the best building practices. This entertaining content aims to create a chain reaction of safe practices that will build a safer present and future for everyone.
Since its launch, Protecting the Future of Sol has garnered over 15 million views on TikTok and sparked a large volume of comments, with many viewers asking for a second season. This reach reflects the series’ impact not only on its young audience but also on the perception of Cemento Sol as a brand committed to education and safety. By positioning itself as a leader in safe construction, Cemento Sol has strengthened its connection with Peruvian families, promoting responsible practices and establishing its role in building a safer future for the country.
