Idea
In this film by Wunderman Thompson Philippines for telecom and media giant Globe, two boys build a homemade 4D movie experience with an array of random objects. After they manually make water splash, phones vibrate, and confetti explode, the boys’ gesture with their hands, “Did you like it?” and we realize that their friend is deaf - they made the contraption so she can enjoy Star Wars too.
Growth
Achieving 21 million views in just two weeks, the film caught the attention of Academy Award winner Marlee Matlin, who shared the film on social media, as well as Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy.
“This is one of the best I’ve ever seen. I’m trying to get it to play in the United States because it’s so well done, so moving. Absolutely fantastic,” she said.
