Peru has a 29.3% gender wage gap, one of the highest in Latin America. To address this, Scotiabank analyzed data comparing female clients' salaries to male counterparts, factoring in variables like age and occupation. They then used SCOTIA POINTS, their digital currency, to automatically fill the gap, allowing customers to use it like real money for purchases.

BANK ON EQUALITY Content 3
At Scotiabank, we have been committed to equality for many years. This year, in addition to the Equality Award, we have launched this initiative in our payroll accounts for International Women's Month, which aims to reduce the gender wage gap in Peru.
