A qualified attorney by training and a strategist by trade, Mike joined the Wunderman Thompson Group as head of strategy in the social media specialist agency Cerebra. He was then made MD of Cerebra before becoming MD of Wunderman Thompson in 2019, and now, following the global merger of Wunderman Thompson with VMLY&R, holds the position of Group Managing Director at VML South Africa.

Mike is great at building things. His key strengths lie in building businesses, client teams, content hubs for local and global brands, operating models, and anything that requires a balance between strategy, operations, and people. He also excels in leading full-service social media for large agencies, executive function and planning, and leading large teams.
