Michael brings over 30 years of design experience to his clients. At VML, Michael has been a part of award-winning work for a diverse range of clients, including Haleon, Medhost, Wahl, Ringling, Ford, Mastercard, Korean Air, and SAP. His continuing brand work on Intel has helped shift its public perception from a component brand to a catalyst for the industry and the world. He prides himself on close working relationships with his clients and is passionate about collaborating to solve brand problems.

Michael trained at institutions with deep roots to the Bauhaus and modernist principles of design and typography; he received a graduate degree from the Schule für Gestaltung in Basel and a BFA in graphic design from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He lived in Switzerland for 12 years, working in Zurich and Basel with clients such as UBS, Swiss Re, and the Swiss Parliament to create unique brand identities and digital experiences. His formal training, brand and typographic expertise, and innovative design thinking have also led him to positions as a design lecturer at the University of Kansas and the Kansas City Art Institute, the University of Oklahoma, and Johnson County Community College. He is originally from Chicago.
