Andrew is Group Director, Verbal Design at VML, where as part of the Brand Design group, he supports brands with all things verbal – from naming and nomenclature, to brand voice and verbal execution.

Prior to joining VML, Andrew was Senior Director of Verbal Branding at Prophet New York, and before that, Director of Verbal Identity at Interbrand New York, guiding the verbal identities of brands like Microsoft, Thomson Reuters, and the London Stock Exchange Group. Spending the majority of his career in his homeland Australia, he has more than 15 years of experience in brand language strategy, development, and execution. For five years before coming to New York, Andrew ran his own verbal identity consultancy, and prior to that was Creative Director at Australasia’s largest independent branding agency, Principals, where he led a Verbal practice giving voice to some of the country’s largest brands.

Originally a graduate of Charles Sturt University with a BA in Communications (Advertising), Andrew remains passionate about crafting language that creates real connections with customers, and real impact for brands.
