VML's strategy team has gained two experienced reinforcements as of 1 August. Pavel Kohout joins as Brand & Customer Experience Strategist, bringing with him more than 20 years of experience in strategic and data-driven marketing and consulting projects from companies such as Air Bank and KPMG. Zuzana Foktová will complement the team with strategic and content expertise in digital marketing and social media.

The team of strategists at VML, led by Kristýna Ochvatová, is expanding its expertise to include deeper know-how in other disciplines of brand building and management.

"Building strong brands needs to link image, commerce and real customer experience - this is what in practice divides companies into successful and unsuccessful ones. It's not enough to have a brand defined on paper or in a presentation. If it is not also well executed and the customer experience does not match their expectations, the brand is not fulfilling its growth potential," Kristýna Ochvatová, Chief Strategy Officer at VML, adds: "The addition of Pavel and Zuzana to the strategy team is a materialization of our proposition of VML as the largest communications agency on the market that can offer the right set of competencies for building modern brands. The world of brands is very complex and contains a wide range of specialisations - our job is to connect these different areas."

Pavel Kohout brings to the VML strategy team experience in brand strategy development, practical use of customer research and data, broad CRM issues and advanced data analytics in marketing services. For the past three years, he was Growth & Retention Manager at Air Bank, where he was responsible for nurturing the customer base and loyalty. He also worked for three years in Czech and Dubai offices of KPMG, where he was responsible for projects based on advanced data analytics for clients mainly in the financial, banking and retail sectors.

Zuzana Foktová joins VML as Strategic Planner. For the last five years, she has gained experience in strategy and communication management in the digital environment, communication audits and content production at Bistro Social (Dentsu) and Be Social. She has worked on strategy and communications for non-profit organization Corridor UA, cider brand Strongbow, and home and garden equipment manufacturer Gardena, to name a few.

Tereza Košt'álková also works as a Strategic Planner in the strategy team, focusing on inclusion in advertising and new opportunities for brands, such as gaming - she participated in the gaming strategy for Česká spořitelna and strategically manages these campaigns. Brand Strategy Planner Filip Truhlář complements the team with extensive experience in building new brands, rebranding and setting up brand experiences.
