Senior Strategist Niharika Verma has been accepted into the prestigious ADCOLOR program, celebrating and championing diversity in creative industries—a significant achievement.
As part of this selection, Niharika has been invited to a welcome reception, a full day of programming at Apple Music with ADCOLOR University training, and the annual FUTURES Hackathon at Spotify. She will also attend the ADCOLOR Awards and Conference, celebrating the theme “Off Mute,” which promotes advancing DEI efforts against opposition.
Born in India, raised in Dubai, and now based in Chicago, Niharika is a global citizen with a passion for storytelling. Spending eight years living aboard a ship, she developed a unique perspective on humanity, which ignited her passion for uniting people through narratives.
Before moving to the US, Niharika contributed to cultural marketing at Louvre Abu Dhabi. Her immersion in art, history, and diverse cultures inspired her to craft compelling brand narratives through strategic insights.
In advertising, Niharika has collaborated with brands like State Farm, McDonald’s, IMAX, Hefty, Reynolds, and NERF. At DDB Chicago, she co-founded the DEI committee, driving initiatives to foster inclusivity within the Omnicom network. She was selected as a part of their Next Gen Leadership Committee. Niharika is currently working on the Hyatt account at VML Chicago and is involved with the LOTUS ERG, since joining VML in July 2024.
Beyond her professional achievements, she remains deeply engaged in pop culture and finds fulfillment in volunteering at dog shelters, exploring thrift stores, and unraveling intricate jigsaw puzzles.
ADCOLOR® is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to celebrate and champion diversity in the creative industries. The ADCOLOR FUTURES program identifies and nurtures the next generation of leaders who have one to three years of experience in their industry. Now in its 13th year, the program provides training, mentorship and empowerment to selected young professionals with the goal of supporting the talent of tomorrow, today.
"In a time when we're being told DEI is dead, we have a group of extremely passionate and determined FUTURES who are ready to prove that narrative wrong," said Candace Queen, FUTURES Brand Manager at ADCOLOR. "These rising stars are already creating change and innovating the systems in place, and we are honored to provide a gateway to continued success in their careers."
