Welcome to Socially Acceptable by VML, a masterclass series unveiling the secrets of the new social media age - showcasing the tools you need to unlock social media stardom.

In this edition, Don't tick-box your way to Accessibility + Inclusivity which took place on 27th March at 12:00 GMT, we explored why this is important, what you can do immediately and how we made treat content more accessible for Baileys with ‘Delicious Descriptions’..

Social media connects us all, right? But, with over 24% of the UK population identifying as having a disability, brands need to be aware of the likely limitations of their social content if it’s not accessible.

Being inclusive on social media is imperative to staying relevant and respected - people want to access content, and they want to see themselves represented in it.

Our expert panel included:

  • Beth Carroll – Head of Social & Influencer, VML
  • Jamie June Hill – Creative Inclusivity Director, VML
  • Ashleigh-Jayne Urquhart – Senior Connections Manager, VML
  • Sarah Fleury - Global Head of Digital & Data at Baileys, Diageo
