As one of Netflix’s biggest annual events, we were challenged to create a UK experience that amplified Netflix’s global moment. Our goal was to give press, KOFs, and business partners an exclusive and immersive first look at what’s #NextOnNetflix in 2025 on a new scale, driving entertainment press coverage, conversation, and hype around Netflix’s upcoming shows.
Showcase Netflix’s love for all kinds of stories, no matter where they come from, by creating an event that reinforces that there’s always something new to discover on Netflix, and emphasizing that your next favourite story might look nothing like your last. We set out to bring the stories of Netflix’s UK slate to life by immersing guests in the worlds of the latest titles, using real props from the shows to tease and excite attendees.
Under the watchful eye of Squid Game’s Pink Guards, we took over London’s Picturehouse Central, transforming the venue into an immersive networking space and walkthrough experience wrapped around two unique, hour-long stage shows tailored to Netflix’s two distinct audience groups - press and advertisers. Bringing what’s Next On Netflix to life, the walkthrough experience featured five interactive activations and photo moments, highlighting symbolic visual elements from Netflix’s UK slate. Guests stepped into Black Mirror’s USS Callister spaceship (complete with the original Captain’s Chair and Console used in the show), grabbed a sweet treat from Stranger Things’ Scoops Ahoy ice cream trike, and explored a Wednesday Addams-inspired gothic Pick ‘n’ Mix wall. An in-world cello performance featured a spooky visit from the original Thing hand, while The Netflix Book Club café immersed guests in upcoming binge-worthy book adaptations over afternoon tea and cocktails.
‘You embraced every challenge and put in a lot of care and energy to make the event a success, which really showed’ - Gemma Machin- Event Manager UK&I, Netflix
