VML Luxembourg is one of the leading Amazon consulting agencies in Europe. Offering 360° services for Amazon, we have a diverse range of products and services in various sectors to ensure long-term sales growth, ranging from creating multilingual content and listings to all aspects of advertising, including sales promotion, PPC and programmatic campaigns. We are part of WPP, the world’s largest digital media agency, and manage WPP’s European Center of Excellence for Amazon (ACE) dedicated to maximising performance, driving sales and building brands on the Amazon platform.
The opportunity:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Client lead for EMEA reporting to the Head of Media & Commerce in Luxembourg. This role is hyper targeted on both driving brilliant client service and on growing and unlocking new investment. This dynamic lead will be at the forefront of building deeper and broader client engagements, and will advance the adoption of new capabilities. Given the matrix style of Commerce, this role will operate and act as a bridge between client,commercial & creative when developing our Marketplace & wider commerce capability. This role will be pivotal in shaping and delivering the vision for connected brands through VML, with a focus on capability building, collaboration, and market enablement to achieve transformative growth.
What you’ll be doing:
Strategic Partnership Development: Key Global Clients (FMCG & Wider CPG)
- Manage key global clients to drive exceptional delivery against business needs and unlock new opportunities.
- Develop the infrastructure internally needed to provide exceptional client delivery leading to further growth opportunities.
- Develop, manage, and maintain strategic partnerships to grow business.
- Develop relationships with prospective clients, while maintaining existing client relationships.
- Focus on developing current client portfolios and building strong relationships with our customers.
- Coordinate with the business team to understand all products that can be offered to customers.
- Achieve annual sales revenue targets and other goals for key accounts.
- Own and manage the commercial relationship with the customer including contracts for consultancy and programme delivery along with clear and defined SLA management within support.
- Form close working relationships with all stakeholders, team members and cross-functional support
- Partner with the agency network of WPP to create contract-winning proposals for current and prospective clients.
Sales and Presentation:
- Make and give presentations to prospective clients and internal executives.
- Work on RFPs with other members of the business development team.
- Negotiate contract terms with clients and communicate terms to stakeholders.
- Drive the end-to-end sales process, from initial contact to contract signing and implementation.
- Providing status reports to the Team Leader, management, and clients.
Operational and Project Management:
- Gather useful information from customer and competitor data.
- Organize training with customers.
- Monitor project teams to ensure contracts are executed as agreed.
- Create and implement processes and policies to support the overall business.
- Be readily available for any team member involved in the projects.Industry Knowledge & Networking:
- Become a subject matter expert on our business products, processes, and operations, and remain up-to-date on industry news.
- Attend conferences, meetings, and industry events to represent the company and build relationships.
Community of Practice Development:
- Support in the roll out and material for best-in-class, consistent practice across EMEA by the end of 2025.
- Support in building a thriving community of practice across the region, hosting monthly and quarterly forums for collaboration and knowledge sharing.
