Who we are looking for:

VML Costa Rica is seeking a .NET Developer who will be part of a Software team that works on mission-critical applications. You will be responsible for CMS and .Net application development, participating in back-end development tasks, and providing services during the full software development life cycle, from concept and design to testing.

What you’ll do:

1. .NET Development:

a. Design, code, test, and maintain web applications using the .NET framework.

b. Develop efficient and scalable code that meets project requirements.

2. CMS Development (Preferred):

a. Work on CMS-driven projects, including customization, module development, and integration.

b. Leverage knowledge of Optimizely or Sitecore to enhance CMS functionality.

3. Collaboration:

a. Collaborate with designers, product managers, and other developers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

b. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.

4. Bug Fixing and Optimization:

a. Identify and troubleshoot software defects, bugs, and performance issues.

b. Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.

5. Documentation:

a. Create and maintain technical documentation for code, processes, and solutions.

What you’ll need:

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

· 5+ years of experience in .NET development.

· Familiarity with content management systems, particularly Optimizely or Sitecore (preferred).

· Proficiency in C#, ASP.NET, MVC, and web development technologies.

· Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles.

· Experience with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.

· Knowledge of SQL databases and data modeling.

· Version control (e.g., Git) and Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

· Strong communication and teamwork skills.

· Ability to work independently and meet project deadline
