Who we are looking for:
VML is seeking a dynamic, business-minded Client Finance Analyst to join the team! This team member will be responsible for monitoring financial reports, maintaining and completing client billing, and pulling data from multiple sources to analyze and present budget to actual variances.
What you’ll do
• Work with clients and internal teams to analyze variances and forecast financial targets. Maintain accurate client billing and translate financial reports to client teams and regional staff
• Review client’s co-marketing partner’s terms, conditions, and financial metrics
• Track budgets, cash flow projections and execution of billing and receivables
• Provide analytical support to the agency and to the director of finance, including the analysis of monthly results to provide insight on key growth drivers and trends as well as operational risk and opportunities
• Provide pricing analysis to support new business efforts and existing accounts
• Support the improvement of company-wide financial controls to ensure accurate, consistent and timely reporting of financial data, including the review and restructuring of the existing information flows and controls
• Interface with client services and project teams to assess project performance to ensure timely and accurate billings and revenue recognition
• Support our SOX compliance efforts by documenting key controls for the monthly closing file and preparing for SOX audits
• Monitor ongoing department expenditure patterns and identifying areas for improved performance
• Collaborate with department managers to review utilization and expenditure patterns in support of budget objectives
• Administer the project management system and liaising with external consultants on system improvements
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations accurately and in a timely fashion
Who you are and what you bring
• BS in Finance or Accounting
• 2-3 years of financial analysis experience
• Related industry experience highly preferred
• High level of analytical and quantitative skills
• Excellent oral, written, interpersonal and presentation skills
• Strong system/computer skills
• Detail oriented
• Self-motivated and self-starter
• Ability to work with all levels of management
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
• Experience in SAP and Workday a plus
