Location: Atlanta, Hybrid (4 days onsite) 

The Payroll Coordinator maintains payroll records, processes payroll, prepares the journal entry for each payroll and responds to employee pay related questions. 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Consistently and accurately process payroll
  • Analyze and review pay & employee related changes 
  • Pull and audit timesheets to ensure wages and benefits are accurate 
  • Setup garnishments and ensure accurate taxation and deductions 
  • Participate in month-end close and reconciliations 
  • Fulfill VOE requests as needed 
  • Understand and demonstrate privacy and confidentiality 
  • Pull payroll reports for review and audit purposes 
  • Communicate with HR teams to make necessary changes 
  • Research, analyze and resolve discrepancies and report them to management as needed 

 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE 

  • 5+ years experience working in payroll or similar role 
  • Significant experience working in multi-state payroll 
  • Working knowledge of tax codes and regulations 
  • Must have strong work ethic and customer service
  • Detail-oriented, professional attitude and reliable 
  • Strong analytical thinking skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks 
  • Basic understanding of journal entries 
  • Excellent computer skills, including SAP, ADP EV6, Workday (or similar ERPs) and Microsoft Excel 
  • Team player with interpersonal skills 
  • Confident written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with employees and team members in a professional manner
