We are seeking a versatile Data Scientist with strong engineering capabilities to drive our retail media analytics initiatives. The ideal candidate will combinine statistical modeling expertise with hands-on implementation skills. You will not only develop sophisticated machine learning and attribution models, but also help design the data infrastructure needed to power these models.

What you’ll be doing:
- Apply statistical techniques, machine learning algorithms, and data visualization methods to uncover patterns and trends in retail media performance
- Develop predictive models to forecast customer behavior, sales trends, and advertising effectiveness
- Architect and develop ETL pipelines to ingest, transform, and process large-scale retail media datasets
- Work with event-level datasets to optimize retail commerce and media strategies
- Define and integrate new SQL data models into business processes, enhancing marketing strategies
- Build and optimize time series forecasting, recommendation engines, and budget allocation models
- Partner with engineers to deploy models into production environments
What we want from you:
- Strong proficiency in Python for data transformation, analysis, scripting, and automation
- Experience with feature engineering, including the ability to identify, extract, and select relevant features from complex datasets to improve model performance
- Solid understanding of machine learning techniques including model development, training, and evaluation
- Expert knowledge in SQL for defining new event-level data models
- Experience with data warehousing concepts and transformation tools
- Expertise in data manipulation, statistical analysis, and data visualization
- Proven ability to translate business questions into analytical frameworks
- Strong software engineering practices (version control, testing, documentation)
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into technical specifications
- Extensive experience in data science or an engineering role with strong data science exposure.
- Proficiency in English (additional languages are a plus).
- EU working permit is required
Bonus Skills:
- Background in e-commerce, retail media, or digital advertising analytics
- Knowledge of Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) methodologies
- Experience with cloud-based ML platforms like AWS SageMaker or Vertex AI
- Familiarity with DBT (Data Build Tool) or similar data transformation tools
- Interest in generative AI solutions and their application to retail analytics
