Key Responsibilities: 

As a Technical Lead/Technical Architect, you will design and deliver scalable, secure web applications while driving innovation in microservices, cloud solutions, and modern architectures. You will mentor teams, champion best practices, and shape the technical direction of high-impact projects. 

 

What you will do: 

  • Act as a technical authority, transforming business requirements into scalable and efficient solutions while ensuring alignment with architectural best practices. 
  • Design, develop, and maintain high-performing web applications, emphasizing scalability, security, and reliability. 
  • Design and implement microservices and serverless solutions using cloud-native technologies on platforms like Azure. 
  • Streamline continuous integration and delivery processes through Azure DevOps to accelerate development cycles. 
  • Integrate with third-party systems and APIs, ensuring seamless functionality and troubleshooting issues effectively. 
  • Mentor and guide team members, fostering a collaborative environment and supporting their technical and professional growth. 
  • Support deployment activities across development, QA, staging, and production environments, ensuring smooth rollouts. 
  • Stay informed on emerging technologies, driving innovation and technical excellence to meet evolving business needs. 
  • Promote adherence to agile practices, robust quality standards, and the adoption of observability tools. 
  • Manage and inspire the development team by setting clear goals, conducting regular performance reviews, and facilitating open communication. 
  • Act as a mediator and problem-solver for the team, removing roadblocks and ensuring productivity and morale remain high.

What you’ll need: 

Basics:

  • Degree in Technology, IT, or Engineering (Bachelor’s or master's level). 
  • Over 10 years of solid experience in web application development. 
  • In-depth expertise in Java, microservices, serverless systems, and event-driven architecture. 
  • Proven track record in building, deploying, and testing web applications utilizing REST APIs, microservices, and nano services. 
  • Experience addressing non-functional aspects like scalability, security, and performance enhancements. 
  • Practical knowledge of containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes. 
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms, with a preference for Azure. 
  • Expertise in Azure DevOps and implementing test-driven development strategies. 
  • Currently living in The Netherlands with a valid work permit.  
  • Proficiency and fluid level in English and Dutch is a must.
  • Able to commute to our office or client location as required. 

Bonus:

  • Advanced skills in headless e-commerce application development. 
  • Good knowledge of front-end technologies, including Angular, React, JavaScript, and TypeScript. 
  • AWS knowledge (when Azure is preferred). 
  • Familiarity with versions 8, 11, 17, and 21 of Java.

Our compensation:

  • A salary range of €85,000 - €95,000 gross/year, incl. 8% holiday allowance.
