The opportunity:

Automation Tester is needed for us here at Wunderman Thompson Commerce and Technology. The individual should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills and have an eye for detail. We require a highly motivated individual with well-developed interpersonal skills. You will be the automation tester in a team of testers working on a new client engagement. You will be involved in the identification, writing, debugging and execution of automated tests and where necessary manual tests. You will require experience of testing API’s using frameworks such as Rest Assured.

What you’ll get to do:

The applicant will be system testing on new and existing projects, predominantly within the retail sector and be proficient in Java, Selenium Web Driver and Cucumber and have experience of creating automated regression packs covering both API and front end-based features. A good knowledge of Java is essential to this role and the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate their competence in this area.

What you should have:

  • Extensive experience in testing eCommerce applications
  • Minimum 5 years of test automation experience using TypeScript, Playwright, and Cucumber
  • Proficiency in working within Agile environments and Insprint automation
  • Hands-on experience with Behavioural Driven Development (BDD) using Cucumber & Gherkin
  • Strong knowledge and demonstrated experience in testing APIs and web services
  • Experience is Accessibility testing and Visual testing using Playwright.
  • Proficient in backend testing, including familiarity with databases (DB2, Oracle) and SQL querying (use of DB Visualiser)
  • Hands-on experience with UNIX commands and log verifications
  • Experience testing RESTful services using Playwright or similar frameworks
  • Automation first approach mindset, ability to identify data requirements and implement tests to achieve coverage
  • Proficient in recommending and implementing improvements to test automation frameworks using TypeScript or JavaScript
  • Experience in testing automation within a continuous integration environment
  • Familiarity with source code control systems like GitHub, BitBucket, or similar, including conducting code reviews
  • Collaboration in daily stand-ups and close collaboration with team developers
  • Utilisation of feedback from all stakeholders to expand test scenarios
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt and reprioritise in a fast-paced team environment
  • Effective interpersonal skills and proven ability to collaborate with all stakeholders
  • Attention to detail and highly organised

You will collaborate with our UK project team, so we’ll need you to be available until 18:00 PL

Bonus points if you have:

  • Retail sector experience.
  • Experience of IBM WebSphere Commerce, Magento, Hybris or other eCommerce platforms
  • Experience of using Jira, Rally or Azure tools
  • Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions or Azure pipelines

What we offer:

  • Salary depending on presented skills: 22 000 - 27 000 PLN net on B2B contract
