Who we are looking for:
The Account Supervisor will serve as a project steward and strategic partner, interfacing with clients and internal teams to develop project objectives, identify challenges, and guide strategy. They should understand the client's business, marketing goals, and potential growth opportunities.
This leadership role requires a strategic drive to advance the business and creative work. As the primary client contact, the Account Supervisor will build close relationships with mid to senior-level client contacts, positioning our team as an essential business partner. They will also lead projects of varying sizes, acting as the day-to-day client liaison.
Account Supervisors are expected to be active advocates for all client partnerships within the agency, including account, strategy, commerce, creative, project management, media, and technology. They should lead external cross-functional teams with a focus on comprehending the client's business objectives, risks, and strategies.
Ideal candidates should possess an energetic & solutions-oriented attitude, strategic curiosity, and readiness for a fast-paced environment. They must be comfortable making decisions and demonstrate an innate drive.
What you'll do:
- Ensuring operational excellence on all client projects managed.
- Serve as strategic, creative and executional lead for overall programs; lead the day-to-day creative conceptual development of client marketing programs from start to finish
- Evaluate copy, layout/artwork, media and retailer materials and make suggested revisions in keeping with agreed upon strategies and business objectives
- Detail-oriented with strong interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills.
- Think and operate with strategic orientation and task/project management.
- Lead cross-functional teams and navigate cross-agency collaboration.
- Participates in daily external client and internal agency meetings
- Help mentor and support career development of team members.
- Work effectively with a variety of internal disciplines and teams.
- Financial management responsibilities include reviewing project estimates, SOWs, projections, and billing for brands managed, review monthly billing spreadsheets.
- Lead execution of projects and inform colleagues and direct supervisor on status.
- Maintains and grows knowledge of client’s business, competition, and industry.
- Leads team understanding of client’s business goals/objectives relative to projects.
- Identifies new and inventive ways to contribute to and grow client business including thought leadership around areas of interest and new opportunities; MIP plan for brand/s managed.
- Participates in key client meetings including status meetings, briefings, legal reviews, cross-agency partner meetings, agency day, and VML presentations.

What you’ll need:
- 5+ years account management experience, with a focus on Commerce / Shopper marketing.
- Must have Shopper marketing / Commerce experience; CPG sector experience is preferred
- Ability to lead and communicate effectively with cross functional teams.
- Self-confident, flexible yet takes and defends positions.
- Ability to present ideas and strategies to senior level clients.
- Local to Kansas City; not a remote role

The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications.
