Who we are looking for:
We are seeking a Junior Payroll Assistant to join our dynamic team at VML. The ideal candidate will assist in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for our employees while maintaining compliance with local regulations and company policies. What you’ll do:
- Assist in the preparation and execution of payroll cycles, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Maintain payroll records, including employee changes, bonuses, and deductions.
- Ensure payroll processes comply with local labor laws and tax regulations.
- Prepare payroll-related reports for internal and external use.
- Assist in audits by providing necessary payroll documentation.
- Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees in a timely and professional manner.
- Support new hires with payroll onboarding processes.
- Address and resolve payroll discrepancies or issues.
- Work closely with the HR and Finance teams to align payroll with company policies.
- Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and systems.
What you’ll need:
- Student pursuing a degree in HR or Accounting (preferably advanced progress).
- Knowledge of payroll processing.
- Familiarity with prepaid healthcare plans/social security systems.
- Intermediate Excel skills, including working with TXT files.
- Understanding of Argentine labor laws and regulations.
- Experience with ARCA (AFIP) – registrations, modifications, terminations.
- Experience with a banking platform for salary payments (preferred but not required).
