OVERVIEW
The Analytics Implementation Specialist will provide web analytics solutions and services to VML Data’s Tier one clients, enabling them to make informed, data driven interactive strategy and web development decisions.
To provide insights into their web analytics solutions. This position has high levels of interaction with clients, their technical teams, agencies and or partners.
The position is for individuals that are web analytics specialists who are self-motivated, entrepreneurial and can hit the ground running due to their knowledge of the Google and Adobe Digital Marketing Suite. The purpose of this position is to customize and provide solutions to clients’ exact business requirements and reporting needs, assist clients to implement proprietary web tracking code throughout their website, and perform quality checks to ensure correct implementation, in essence enabling them to answer business questions timely and accurately.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Web Analytics Implementation: Support the implementation of web analytics, including gathering business requirements, integration, custom coding, and reporting.
- Technical Expertise: Possess hands-on experience in website or mobile app tracking. Familiarity with Tag Management Systems and web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is required.
- Solution Architecture: Assist in designing and implementing web analytics solutions and system architecture that align with clients' enterprise-wide business needs and key performance indicators.
- Adaptability and Curiosity: Adapt to changing toolkits and varied client engagements. Exhibit curiosity by generating queries and investigating client questions for ad-hoc reporting and service excellence.
- Best Practices and Trend Analysis: Assist in developing best practices, staying informed on industry trends, and recommending solutions to improve client capabilities.
- Analytics System Management: Support the daily management of clients' analytics systems, ensuring optimal tracking and reporting. Create and maintain key reports, dashboards, and analyses, collaborating with internal teams for enhancements.
- Training and Education: Develop and conduct training sessions covering all aspects of digital analytics, including our ways of working and product capabilities.
- Quality Assurance and Documentation: Oversee the development of implementation documentation and quality assurance tests for tracking solutions, ensuring they meet expected standards.
- Technology Updates: Stay informed about technology roadmaps, enhancements, and industry evolution.
- Communication and Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively through oral, written, and visual methods. Work consultatively with clients and internal teams, building trust and delivering strategic advice
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in web analytics and tag management
- Client facing skills - responsive, results driven and dedicated to customer support
- Strong attention to detail, excellent organization skills, and ability to work independently
- Experience in marketing analytics tools such as:
- Analytics Tools: Google Analytics/Adobe Analytics
- Tag Management Systems: GTM, Adobe Launch, Tealium
- Data Layers: functionality, definition, implementation
- Visual Analytics Platforms: Google Data Studio, Tableau, PowerBI
- Beneficial to have experience with server-side analytics solutions, event forwarding, Google Server-Side services, Adobe customer journey analysis, and personalization tools
