VML Prague is a leading marketing agency (over 300 employees) with a diverse, international team. We offer a friendly, collaborative environment and the chance to work on integrated campaigns across various platforms.
We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Junior Art Director to join our Creative team. This role is crucial in driving creative excellence and innovation across all client projects. You will be responsible for conceptualizing, developing, and executing visually compelling and effective campaigns across various platforms, with a particular focus on digital, social, and shopper marketing. You will have the opportunity to drive the art direction of shoots (photography and video), inject fresh creativity into daily assets, and play a key role in elevating the overall quality of our work.
We offer a collaborative environment where you will have the responsibility to oversee your ideas, from concept to execution, regardless of project scale.
What you'll be doing:
- Concept Development & Execution: Generates original and innovative ideas to solve communication challenges, in partnership with other creatives and marketing teams. Develops and executes these ideas across various communication channels and formats (digital, social, shopper, etc.), ensuring visual consistency and a compelling narrative.
- Art Direction & Design: Drive art direction of photo and video shoots, ensuring alignment with the creative vision. Elevates the creative quality of daily assets, injecting fresh perspectives and innovative design solutions. Oversees the design and production of all creative materials, maintaining high standards of quality and craftsmanship.
- Client Collaboration & Understanding: Develops a deep understanding of clients' marketing and business objectives, ensuring that creative ideas effectively address their needs. Presents creative concepts and rationale to clients, effectively communicating the strategic thinking behind the work.
- Trend Awareness & Application: Stays abreast of current design trends, social media best practices, and emerging technologies. Applies this knowledge to everyday work, ensuring that creative output is relevant, engaging, and impactful.
- Team Collaboration: Works collaboratively with copywriters, designers, and other team members to develop integrated campaigns. Contributes to a positive and supportive team environment.
What you'll need:
- Proven Agency Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience working within an advertising agency environment. International brands experience is a plus.
- Integrated Creative Skillset: Demonstrated ability to seamlessly blend ideation and execution, developing concepts and bringing them to life through design and art direction.
- Digital & Social Media Expertise: Strong understanding of digital and social media landscapes, including best practices, trends, and platform-specific requirements.
- Client Focus: Ability to understand and respond to client needs, translating marketing objectives into effective creative solutions.
- Proactive & Solution-Oriented: Takes initiative, identifies opportunities for improvement, and proactively proposes innovative solutions.
Who you are:
- Strong portfolio showcasing both design skills and conceptual thinking.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent English.
- Experience in video editing, animation, or drawing is a bonus.
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, advertising, or a related field.
