JWT Amman, a leading advertising agency and part of the global VML network, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Account Director to join our dynamic team. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven ability to manage client relationships, lead integrated marketing campaigns, and drive business growth.
What we're looking for:
The Account Director will be the primary point of contact for a portfolio of key clients, responsible for nurturing these relationships and ensuring client satisfaction. You will lead the development and execution of integrated marketing strategies, overseeing all aspects of the project lifecycle from briefing to delivery. This role demands a deep understanding of the client's business, industry trends, and the competitive landscape.
What you'll do:
- Take ownership and ensure overall quality control across all accounts.
- Build and maintain effective internal processes and relationships to achieve client goals in a time- and cost-efficient manner.
- Provide strategic direction and oversee the successful implementation of client objectives.
- Deeply understand the client’s business to generate innovative ideas that drive growth and development.
- Collaborate closely with clients to identify business needs and objectives, develop strategies with the Business Director, and ensure seamless execution.
- Monitor progress against set objectives, taking corrective action when necessary.
- Identify new opportunities, anticipate challenges, and proactively plan for unexpected scenarios.
- Foster strong client relationships based on trust, credibility, and professional respect.
- Lead and motivate the account team, promoting a positive work environment, collaboration, and growth opportunities.
- Train and mentor account team members, enhancing their skills and abilities.
- Oversee the financial management of accounts, ensuring efficient operations and negotiating client fees when necessary.
- Partner with the account planner to think creatively and bring fresh, relevant insights to the table.
- Provide regular updates to the Business Director, keeping them informed of daily account operations.
- Understand client requirements and deliver tailored solutions, identifying opportunities for new business.
- Ensure the timely delivery of services and products, resolving issues to maintain and strengthen client trust.
- Review subordinate reports and communicate overall progress to senior management and external stakeholders.
What you'll need:
- 7+ years of experience in account management within an advertising agency environment, with a proven track record of success in managing large-scale, integrated marketing campaigns.
- Excellent client relationship management skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence key decision-makers.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate teams, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and develop creative solutions
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, Advertising, or a related field.
