Summary Of The Role:
Social media is not just a touchpoint for advertising, it's a two-way street to engage and build brand love with our consumers on their favorite channels. Ambition is to deliver best in class social media capabilities for TCCC IMX teams.
As the Social Cluster lead, one will act as the eyes, ears and voice of The Coca Cola Company and its brands across all social channels.
The lead is responsible for overseeing the social strategy, execution, and reporting for a cluster of markets. This role acts as the primary liaison between the SX Social Lead, CCTM & non CCTM Category Directors, IMX Social Lead, and regional/market teams, ensuring alignment and successful implementation of social media strategies. The Social Cluster Director is also responsible for managing multi-market social charters and toolkits, driving key decision-making, and ensuring high-quality deliverables in line with local market needs and global brand guidelines.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Team Management & Social-First Thinking
- Manage and mentor a team of community managers and analysts, promoting social-first thinking and innovative approaches to audience engagement.
- Foster a collaborative team environment, encouraging creativity, data-driven decision-making, and proactive problem-solving.
- Regional Leadership & Key Point of Contact
- Act as the primary liaison for SX Social Lead and IMX Social Lead, ensuring that the needs of the region and market are met in a timely and effective manner.
- Collaborate with Social Category Directors and Managers to ensure smooth operations and execution of market-specific social strategies.
- Strategic Planning & Integration
- Actively participate and integrate into the XP loop process of local charters
- Own, plan, schedule, execute, and report on the multi-market charter toolkit setup for MER
- Oversee the alignment of local strategies with global and regional goals, ensuring consistency and market relevance.
- Drive decision-making around social charters and ensure key stakeholders are consulted and engaged throughout the process.
- Social Strategy Execution & Support
- Oversee the delivery and execution of market-relevant social strategies through local brand campaigns and briefs.
- Ensure all social strategies are aligned with broader brand goals and tailored to each market’s needs.
- Support local teams in implementing and adapting global strategies to fit local markets, providing necessary resources and tools.
- Quality Control & Content Approval
- Ensure the quality of all social deliverables, managing the production and approval process of assets where necessary.
- Conduct regular reviews of social content to maintain consistency, relevance, and effectiveness.
- Oversee the delivery of creative assets to ensure they meet brand standards and market objectives.
- Risk & Issue Management
- Identify and manage risks associated with social media strategies and campaigns, escalating issues to senior stakeholders as needed.
- Ensure timely resolution of challenges while maintaining the integrity of the campaign’s objectives.
- Market Engagement & Cultural Insights
- Participate actively in relevant in-market meetings with local SX teams, providing valuable input and feedback on local social initiatives.
- Stay updated on cultural events, social trends, and news stories that could impact brand engagement and audience interaction.
- Provide strategic recommendations on how to capitalize on key cultural moments and trends to drive brand relevance.
- Partner with local social platforms and build a striong relationship, host regular workshops to drive social innovation for the region
- Financial Management & Operations
- Oversee the financial operation between WPP and TCCC, ensuring that market budgets are well-managed and deliverables are met within scope.
- Work closely with finance teams to monitor, track, and report on social budget spend and ROI.
KEY SKILLS & CAPABILITIES:
- Strategic Leadership: Strong decision-making and leadership skills with the ability to lead and inspire teams across multiple markets.
- Social Media Expertise: In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, trends, and strategies, with the ability to apply this knowledge to drive results.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to work closely with a range of stakeholders, including senior leadership, local market teams, and creative agencies.
- Cultural Sensitivity: Deep understanding of local market dynamics and cultural nuances across the Middle East, with the ability to tailor strategies accordingly.
- Project Management: Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with a focus on timely execution and quality delivery.
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze data and insights to optimize campaigns and provide recommendations for improving social performance.
- Risk Management: Experience identifying and mitigating risks within social campaigns and larger market operations.
- Financial Acumen: Understanding of budget management and financial processes related to.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Arabic speaking, FMCG Social Experience.
- Extensive experience in the Saudi Arabian market, particularly in platform insights, strategy, and executing campaigns that resonate with local audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in social media management or a similar role, preferably within a large, multi-market organization.
- Experience working in the Middle East market or other culturally diverse environments.
- Proven track record in managing large-scale social campaigns and cross-functional teams.
