Senior Content Lead needed to join our team on a permanent basis.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Content Lead to join our rapidly expanding eCommerce team. You will be working as part of our Experience Team within VML Enterprise Solutions, sitting alongside experts in CX: UX, UI, Service Design, CX Research and CX Consultancy.
What you’ll be doing:
In this role you will be required to think strategically, with proven experience in the content strategy process which should include audience persona development, content audits and assessments, as well as creation of content calendars, frameworks, tone of voice guidelines and SEO strategy.
You will bring an innovative approach to creating inspiring content, while successfully navigating the ever-changing environment of an agency. Flexibility, adaptability, and forward-thinking skills will be key. We are looking for someone who can lead and inspire other members of your content team.
You will be expected to take the initiative in ensuring the business needs and customer goals of our clients are fully understood and met through world class content. You will lead content strategy and creation to inform, entertain, inspire and engage our global clients’ customers.
As a Senior Content Lead, you are a strategic thinker and a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering exceptional content experiences for our clients, leading a team of content creators and driving the execution of our content strategy.
What we want from you:
Strategic Planning & Client Relationships:
- Develop and champion a clear content vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and brand guidelines.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients on all content-related matters, building strong, trusted relationships and understanding their unique needs.
- Translate client briefs and requirements into actionable content plans, outlining clear objectives, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Conduct regular content audits and competitor analysis to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices, proactively sharing knowledge and insights with your team, the wider CX department and our clients.
Content Creation & Execution:
- Oversee and manage the work of Content Leads and other UX writers, ensuring high-quality output that exceeds client expectations, understanding the importance and difference between content and UX writing.
- Provide clear direction and feedback to the team, fostering a collaborative and supportive working environment.
- Contribute to UX writing as needed, demonstrating strong writing and editing skills across various formats and channels.
- Implement and maintain consistent brand voice and tone across all content deliverables.
- Develop and strategically direct content calendars, frameworks and workflows, taking responsibility for the timely delivery of all projects within budget.
Performance Analysis & Optimisation:
- Define and track key content performance metrics, using data to inform content optimisation strategies.
- Prepare regular reports for clients and internal stakeholders, highlighting key insights and recommendations.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve content effectiveness, including SEO optimisation, A/B testing, and user experience enhancements
- Continuously evaluate and refine content processes and workflows to maximise efficiency and output quality.
