A Social Media Manager is responsible for managing the agency's social media clients in creating and maintaining unique social media presence. The role involves staying up-to-date on social media trends, monitoring all social media profiles to determine engagement, and developing, content calendars, strategic reporting, social media campaign ideas for new product launches and other events.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Brand Development through Social Media: Identify target customers, set clear objectives, and build an effective content strategy to engage the audience, increase traffic, and boost conversions.
- Team Leadership: Lead a team to create and implement highly shareable, creative, attention-getting, and on-brand content.
- Collaboration: Work closely with all agency teams to ensure social media plans are integrated into brand marketing briefs and paid media efforts.
- Platform Partnerships: Partner with key social media platforms (Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter) and explore new and emerging platforms.
- Creative Campaigns: Formulate and implement best practices and measurement tools to provide enhanced opportunities to engage audiences.
- Cross-Functional Work: Work effectively with other groups within the organization, especially media teams, to integrate social media activities with traditional marketing efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop strategic social media advertising plans and manage the associated budget across campaigns and channels.
- Collaborate with media agencies, platforms, and partners to build, execute, and measure innovative social media performances.
- Lead the development and implementation of various content forms, including video, text, still imagery, animation, and live action.
- Provide inspirational and creative leadership to reach and gain the attention of target audiences.
- Plan and manage campaign executions, ensuring they are on time, within budget, and to scope.
- Offer a blend of creative instincts, social media awareness, and executive management skills.
Qualifications:
- BS in a relevant discipline.
- 4 to 5 years of experience in social media marketing and creative development.
- Experience in managing a small team.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to plan, design, implement, and monitor social media marketing campaigns.
- Experience creating, curating, and managing social media content in various formats (text, audio, visual, multimedia).
- Engage users with prompt responses, organize competitions, ask questions, and cultivate relationships.
- Keep up with social media trends, including developments in design, applications, strategy, and innovation.
- Create comprehensive advertising campaigns to boost brand image, increase customer engagement, and improve conversions.
- Design, implement, and manage social ad campaigns integrated into the client's strategic marketing plans.
- Track social media campaigns' key performance metrics to maximize results and report progress to stakeholders.
