The opportunity:

Automation Testers are required to join VML Commerce and Technology’s world class teams who are working to make our clients happy.

The individual should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills and have an eye for detail. We require a highly-motivated individual with well-developed interpersonal skills. You will be the automation tester in a team of testers working on a new client engagement. You will be involved in the identification, writing, debugging and execution of automated tests and where necessary manual tests. The programme covers both Front End automation and experience of testing API’s using frameworks such as RestAssured.

What you’ll get to do:

The applicant will be system testing on new projects, ideally and be proficient in Java, Selenium Web Driver or JavaScript based automation frameworks and tools. You should have experience of creating automated regression packs covering both API and front end-based features. A good knowledge of Java or JavaScript is essential to this role and the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate their competence in this area.

What you should have:

  • Hands on experience of test automation using Java, Selenium and Cucumber.
  • Hands on experience of test automation using TypeScript, Cypress, and Cucumber.
  • Knowledge and experience of working within an Agile environment, Insprint automation.
  • Hands on experience of Behavioural Driven Development (BDD) (using Cucumber & Gherkin)
  • Great backend testing skills – conversant in databases (DB2, Oracle), SQL knowledge (use of DB Visualiser)
  • Working UNIX knowledge.
  • Experience of using Rest Assured or an equivalent framework to test APIs (RESTful or SOAP)
  • Identify data requirements and implement tests to achieve coverage.
  • Recommend, implement improvements to test automation framework.
  • Experience in testing automation within a continuous integration environment.
  • Collaborate in daily standups and work very closely with developers on the team
  • Effective interpersonal skills and a proven ability to collaborate with all stakeholders.
  • Attentive to detail and highly organized.
  • Ecommerce domain experience.
  • Demonstrate ability to change direction and re-prioritise in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Experience working with VMs and containers both on prem and cloud offerings like Amazon and google cloud Experience of using Jira.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and follow-up skills and ability to hold others accountable.
  • Experience using git SCM tools, GitHub, Bitbucket or similar tools.

You will collaborate with our UK project team, so we’ll need you to be available until 18:00 PL time.

  • Salary depending on presented skills: 16 000 - 22 000 PLN (B2B contract)
  • Fully remote job as well as possibility to visit ourr offices in Poznań, Katowice and Bydgoszcz
