A 3D designer works in a creative environment that uses the latest 3D modelling tools and technology to create products and concepts. This requires a blend of hard and soft skills to meet client expectations and create useful 3D designs

  • designing and developing 3D concepts for packaging and/or activation
  • reviewing and improving existing 3D designs and products
  • creating documentation for new and revised 3D concepts
  • communicating with project team to understand project requirements and create specific designs
  • creating various design layouts and concepts for projects with 3D tools and software
  • creating primary drawings and concepts for final selections made by a client
  • offering guidance and recommendations for existing 3D designs
  • determining the right materials, engineering practices and product parts
  • liaising with project teams and presenting new designs in an easy to understand way
  • collaborating with others during team meetings
