Senior Social Listening Analyst
Description:
The Social Media Listening Analyst will design, conduct, and deliver standard and custom social listening reports. The Analyst will translate business needs into constructed queries and via a tool will monitor social conversation for internal teams as well as competitive brands, products, marketing campaigns and events. He or she deep dives into the data to uncover drivers of social buzz, then translates the data into a compelling story. The Analyst will be accountable for deciphering what is important, meaningful data and then communicating the concise story in a way that allows the business to make decisions based on the reports.
The role exists to be part of the insights offering for the client, marketers, as well as the Social Team to deliver actionable insights that will inform brand and social strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Listen and analyze online conversations/mentions by leveraging different listening tools such as Sprinklr to understand topics, volume, and sentiment.
- Responsible for Social listening tool setup including keywords, query parameters, and dashboards.
- Pull and interpret data from social listening tools including volume, sentiment, conversation drivers, influencers, etc.
- Take initiative on refinement of query parameter setup to ensure accurate and insightful mention analysis is available to report on by the end of a reporting period.
- Able to deliver insights that transform social data into a clear story.
- Visualize findings using charts, tables, and infographics to provide actionable insights based on concrete data.
- Manage a deliverable calendar of recurring schedule and ad hoc reports.
- Work closely with stakeholders and Community Managers to present social listening reports to discuss key observations and actionable insights.
- Collaborate with the local community management team as well as the campaign teams in different markets/regions to align and implement social analysis for local needs. This also includes campaigns/events and presenting insights back to business to inform content creation and monthly content calendars.
- Has a good understanding of how to set up alerts for crisis monitoring/warning and emerging trends.
- Ensure local reporting efforts are aligned with global/regional governance guidelines.
- Provide recommendations for community managers and stakeholders based on observations.
Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (any other language is a plus).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of general PowerBI and social media listening/analytics tools such as Sprinklr.
- Strong familiarity and understanding of social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Blogs, Forums, Instagram, YouTube, Reddit.
- Ability to synthesize information and produce insightful and accurate analysis and recommendations.
- Ability to understand and analyze content topics in English and/or local language(s) needed for the role.
- Must be a naturally curious and an inquisitive person when it comes to data.
- Confident and have great presentation skills.
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time management, organizational and prioritization skills with ability to think strategically, creatively, and analytically.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Marketing, Economics, Computer Science, Information technology or Human-Computer Interaction or related educational concentration.
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in social listening.
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in online/social marketing.
- Fluent in English is a must
- Experience of working with clients is a plus.
