The opportunity:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic (junior) IT Support Engineer to join our team. As part of our team, you will play a crucial role in providing technical IT support to our end-users, ensuring smooth operations, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our IT systems. What you’ll be doing:
Ticket Management:
- Navigate the ticketing system to track and resolve user issues
- Follow up with users to ensure satisfactory resolution of their problems
Hardware Troubleshooting:
- Identify common hardware issues, such as laptop malfunctions or monitor connectivity problems
Issue Complexity Assessment:
- Gauge the complexity of issues with the guidance of a mentor
Knowledge Base Contribution:
- Contribute to the internal wiki by providing updates and new entries
Continuous Learning:
- Actively learn about IT services and user support techniques
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with mentors and team members to develop skills and knowledge
What we want from you:
- Completed MBO3/4 education, basic understanding of IT services and user support
- Fluency in Dutch and English, both spoken and written
- Currently residing in The Netherlands, within a reasonable commuting distance to the office.
- Fully eligible to work in The Netherlands.
- Familiarity with hardware troubleshooting, Windows and Macbook laptops
- Basic understanding of IT security principles
- Willingness to learn and work closely with mentors
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic technical troubleshooting skills
- An inquisitive problem solver
- Eagerness to learn and grow in the IT field
If you know some of this, even better:
- Any experience with the following technologies is an advantage: Active Directory, Atlassian stack, networking fundamentals, familiarity with joiner/mover/leaver processes, any scription knowledge (e.g. python, batch, bash, PowerShell etc.)
